This All Started, Because Im A Driving Game/Sim Enthusiast... Like You.

My name is Kevin, and I'm the creator of the Dynamic Shifter Paddle. I professionally raced cars for roughly 30 years, starting from Road Racing Karts and then on to Midgets followed by 810HP Sprintcars. After a break from racing, I found that the gaming community had improved the quality of racing sims and games to the point that it would be fun for me. I could once again experience the passion for going fast!

I purchased a new PS3 along with the games Gran Turismo 5 (GT5) and F1 2010. I also then purchased the Logitech Driving Force GT (DFGT) wheel because I had no clue how to run the PS3 controller, and wanted a more realistic simulator type experience anyway. I liked the wheel, but it had some short comings. The first problem it had was the tiny buttons it had for paddle shifters, and the second was that the pedals don't feel like real pedals.

I searched the internet looking to see if there was a solution to adding nice paddles to the Driving Force GT and most of what I found was people drilling holes and such to attach homemade wood or even really expensive aftermarket paddles. I felt like most people should not be doing this as it would certainly void the Logitech warranty, or cause damage to the wheel by over stressing the OEM buttons plastic hinge point, or damage the electronics with the tip of the screws used to attach the paddles.

As a former pro driver, now totally hooked on sim racing games just like you, I wanted to make components for my driving games to further improve the overall experience and performance, just like I did for my real race cars. I decided to tackle the paddle shifter problem first. The Dynamic Paddle Shifter is what I came up with. These paddles are CNC machined, not a mass produced injection molded part so unfortunately I can't sell them as cheaply as some of the Chinese made gaming accessories. I also custom designed them using SolidWorks 3D modeling software to fit the wheel perfectly as well as be very comfortable to use and easy enough for anyone to install.

I asked for some help testing with my new friends at the vivaf1racingleague, because I knew they would give them a good workout. I also had some local friends test them as well as myself. After several months of testing and adjustments, mostly to the type of flexible hinge I was using, I believe they are ready for anyone with a Driving Force GT gaming wheel and a desire for an improved driving sim/ gaming experience!

I have several other projects already in the works that, once again after testing, I will be offering to the racing game and driving sim communities as well as modifying the Dynamic Paddle Shifters for other brands and models of gaming wheels. So please keep coming back to see what I'm up to. Also if you have any ideas to improve a problem with an otherwise great product that you just don't have the ability or resources to follow through with, please send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
